Who we are

HOME sweet HOME is a renovation, interior design, construction and property management business based in St. Julian's, Malta. For anything on this page you can reach us at do7383@gmail.com or +356-99104285.

The short version

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and does not track you. Nothing about you is collected unless you choose to contact us.

What we collect

• If you only browse: the web server keeps an access log holding the IP address you connect from, the date and time, the page you asked for, the response code, the page that referred you if any, and your browser's user-agent string. Nothing else is recorded.
• If you contact us: whatever you send by phone, WhatsApp or email - your name if you give it, your contact details, and whatever you tell us about the property and the work. We use it to answer you and to prepare a quote.

Why we hold it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote - the steps before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• To keep the site online, fast and secure, and to prevent abuse of it (our legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f)).
• To keep accounting and tax records where the work goes ahead (legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not profile you, make automated decisions about you, sell your data or add you to a mailing list. We do not send marketing.

Cookies

None. There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to. The showreel video is served from our own storage; nothing on these pages loads a third-party font, advert or tracker.

Who else sees it

• Our hosting provider, DigitalOcean, in Frankfurt (EU), stores the site and the video and processes data on our instructions.
• If you press a WhatsApp link you leave this site and WhatsApp (Meta) handles the message from there, under their own privacy policy. The same applies to your phone network when you call, and to your email provider when you write.
• If the law requires it, we pass information to the authorities.

Where it goes

All of it stays in the EU. We do not transfer your data outside the EEA, other than where you choose to use WhatsApp.

How long we keep it

• Server logs: 14 days, then deleted automatically.
• Enquiries that do not turn into work: 12 months, then deleted.
• Records of work we carried out: as long as Maltese law requires - for example six years for VAT records and nine years for income tax records.
• Messages sent through the enquiry form this site carried until 16 October 2026: kept under the enquiry period above.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, ask us to restrict or stop using it, or ask for it in a portable form. Write to do7383@gmail.com and we will answer within one month.

If you are not happy

Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner, Airways House, High Street, Sliema SLM 1549, Malta - idpc.org.mt.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The web service runs as an unprivileged user behind the web server, the server is reachable only with a key, and passwords and keys are kept out of the code.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
